Perimenopause: An Initiation into a New Season of Power

At Lemonberry, we believe in honoring every phase of life. Change is inevitable, but when we embrace it, we find strength and wisdom. Perimenopause isn’t just a hormonal shift—it’s a chance to reconnect with your body and trust its evolution.

We’re excited to share insights from Danielle Cosentino, RMT, on honouring this transition with care, awareness, and self-advocacy. Read on for her expert guidance on moving through this phase with grace.

Perimenopause: An Initiation into a New Season of Power

This transition isn’t something to fix—it’s an initiation. A portal into a new relationship with your body, energy, and intuition. Rather than resisting the shifts, what if you leaned in and asked: What is my body revealing to me?

This season of change isn’t just hormonal—it’s energetic. Like the tides responding to the moon, your body is recalibrating, shedding old patterns, and making space for a deeper sense of self. The more you honor this shift, the more ease you’ll feel moving through it. But honoring it also means advocating for yourself—trusting your body’s wisdom, questioning outdated narratives, and ensuring your concerns are heard.

Ways to support yourself through this energetic transition:

• Release stored tension – Fascia work and self-massage help move stagnant energy, preventing emotional and physical tightness from accumulating.

• Regulate your nervous system – This phase is a recalibration of your body’s rhythms. Slow, mindful breathwork signals safety and helps ease the intensity of the shifts.

• Balance blood sugar, balance your energy – Stabilizing blood sugar prevents emotional and energy crashes, making this phase feel more grounded.

• Use your voice – If something feels off, speak up. Advocate for the care, information, and support you deserve.

• Trust your body’s timing – This is an initiation into your most embodied, wise, and powerful self. The more you resist, the harder the transition. The more you listen, the more gracefully you move through it.

Your body isn’t betraying you—it’s evolving. And like any transformation, it asks you to show up with presence, care, and trust.

How do you honor transitions in your life? We’d love to hear from you in the comments or in-store at Lemonberry!
